Looking to bring an added service to Washington County, attorney Keith Mull opened the doors of his business, Principal Title Services, LLC, in Salem last week. The office is located on South Main Street.
An attorney since 1993, Mull said this is his second career. His first was a minister. He is from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and earned his undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University and graduated from the seminary in Louisville. After doing that for several years, he decided he needed a career change and attended law school at Indiana University in Indianapolis.
He eventually found himself back in the Louisville area in 1998 practicing some litigation and dealing in real estate law. He expanded into the title side of things and opened up a title company in New Albany about 11 years ago. Mull now practices real estate law and title work.
“I try to keep everything I do real estate related,” he said.
The company’s main office is still in New Albany and Mull opened the office in Salem because he does a lot of work in this area. Also, one of his employees, Christina McGinnis, is from Washington County.
“It’s a good community to reach out to with the services we provide,” he said, adding that he has worked with several local realtors and banks during his years in the business.
The plan is for the Salem office to be open four days a week.
“I am glad to be here and excited about the opportunity,” he said. “The community has been very welcoming and I feel we have a lot to offer here.”
